Okay, just the whimsical name of this product was enough to get me excited! I mean, Wildflower Water Cream – doesn’t it sound just lovely?

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I adore the Skin Creamery – a proudly South African skincare brand. I’ve written many posts on their magnificent, organic products in the past. You can read them HERE, HERE & HERE.

The newest addition to the range is the Wildflower Water Cream – a multipurpose, lightweight beauty elixir that can be used as a hydrating serum or moisturiser. It leaves the skin feeling smoothed and refreshed. All skin types can use this beauty that contains certified organic ingredients and has a 100% natural fragrance that almost disappears once on the skin.

This beauty also packs quite the anti-ageing punch. The formula contains oil from Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract that has incredible restorative and regenerating properties. When applied directly to the skin, it stimulates the fibroblasts (collagen & elastin fibers), resulting in a tightened, more firm skin.

Aloe Leaf extract has also been added thanks to its soothing and hydrating properties.

Squalene, a powerful antioxidant and natural essential lipid helps protect the skins natural barrier, locking in moisture without clogging pores.

Chlorophyll works to reduce any skin inflammation, and is high in Vitamins A, C, E and K (all fat-soluble vitamins that keep the skin radiant, youthful and healthy). Chlorophyll is also very high in Magnesium, which helps with dry, inflamed and sensitive skin.

This lightweight elixir is absorbed into the skin in an instant. It has a pale blue colour that I’m pretty sure comes from the addition of malachite extract in the formula. I had a good look at the ingredient list and can’t see any artificial colourants listed.

You can use the Skin Creamery Wildflower Water Cream morning and evening on clean skin as either a moisturiser or serum. While my skin is on the drier, more mature side, I find this beauty works really well as a moisturiser and gives my skin all the nourishment it needs. Very dry skin types may prefer using it as a hydrating, anti-ageing serum, then adding a more nourishing moisturiser on top. Combination & oily skin types will LOVE this formula too, thanks to its non-greasy formula and quick product absorption.

I also love the sustainable glass packaging and fact that this formula is in pump packaging that works to keep the active ingredients in the formula intact. And, because this is a local lovely, it comes in at a super affordable price of R365 which has now been marked down to a jaw dropping R292 on the Skin Creamery website HERE.

Now, more than ever, we need to support local brands!
