My Black Friday Wishlist

I’m curating my Black Friday wishlist and thought I’d head on over to Superbalist to explore more.

There are a few items that are top of mind this year. I desperately need to replace my walking trainers – they are literally falling apart! I also need a new swimsuit but am specifically looking for a style with long sleeves & a high neck to protect my skin. In terms of décor, I need a new ottoman because my beloved 21-year-old one has a broken leg I cannot fix. And, as always, I can’t resist a new dress.

I think it’s an addiction, but EVERY SINGLE SEASON I find myself buying a new style of black dress. The thing is, I LOVE and wear them all.

I have my eye firmly planted on the Strappy Trapeze Maxi Dress in Black R699 (BUY) because it’s 97% cotton and the style super flattering.

I’m also very into jumpsuits at the moment and adore the Relaxed printed short sleeve jumpsuit – painted ladies1 R799 (BUY)

I love the print which remind me of a paint stroke. Again, this shape is flattering for all body types thanks to its ¾ sleeve and elasticated waist with a drawcord.

Like I said, I’m seriously in need of a pair of trainers for my daily walks. I prefer black because I walk on the Rondebsoch Common and, in summer, it’s rather sandy. I know a black pair will hide the dirt and I’ll only need to wash them every few weeks.

These Softride Sophia 2 Marbleized Sneakers by Puma R1049 (BUY) tick almost all my sneaker requirement boxes. I like that they’re mesh – so my feet can breathe. I also find mesh more comfortable to wear.

Now, these Nike Revolution 6 next nature trainers R1199 (BUY) tick EVERY SINGLE BOX.

I like that the rubber sole is black, and that there’s a foam midsole that provides the feet with cushioning and flexibility.

It’s always a challenge buying swimwear online. However, I’ve purchased a few pieces from Superbalist in the past, and haven’t been disappointed with the fit.

I’ve been keen to invest in a khaki coloured swimsuit and really like the Cross Over One Piece R799 by Trendyol (BUY)

The cut-out details are so flattering, especially if you/ like me, want to draw attention away from the tummy area. I also lie that the style covers most of the back.

Like I said, I’ve been looking for a long-sleeve swimsuit. Reason being it’s a great choice if you’re wanting to do water sports & not burn. Also, I’ve invested heavily in laser treatments to get rid of discolouration on my arms & décolletage & even the smallest amount of sun will see the marks return.

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Skyelar Long Sleeve Full Body Rashie Swimsuit – Black Zebra Stripe by Lizzy R447 (BUY)

I like the subtle zebra stripe print that adds interest and the cut and style are just perfect. Bonus love for the fact that the whole back is covered, bar for a small cut-out detail that adds a sexy element.

I’ve bought so many items for my home from Superbalist from rugs and carpets to lights and linen.

I need a new ottoman for my lounge as the one I’ve had for close on 23 years is no longer usable as the broken leg is unfixable (I’m just a bit devastated because this ottoman belonged to my late mother). It is time to find another.

I really like the Husk Sherpa Button Bench R1814 by Sixth Floor (BUY)

The boucle fabric is reminiscent of sheep skin, but because its polyester, will be a breeze to spot clean. The beechwood legs give the ottoman a very classic appeal and I like that the height stands just under 50cm (46cm). it’s just PERFECT!

I had no idea who Mervyn Gers was, until one of the ladies from Stylvol mentioned how obsessed she was with his ceramics. His ceramics are so popular, they’re even stocked in London and Copenhagen.
