Why did you decide to start a blog?

I wanted a platform on which to share the things that excite and inspire me – while guiding and assisting women in navigating the sometimes daunting, often overwhelming fashion and beauty choices that are available to them. Thirteen years in the magazine industry, has given me a good understanding of the issues women grapple with daily concerning fashion & beauty. I want my blog to be a place where readers can come to for friendly advice, inspiration and a daily dose of lighthearted but informative fun.

Do you blog full time?

No, I’m a fashion & beauty stylist and produce editorials for various magazines and advertising campaigns. In addition, I work as a personal shopper, and also do fashion & beauty talks as well as workshops with various corporate companies and retailers.

Who takes the photographs for your blog?

Unless otherwise stated, my husband takes the pictures for my outfit posts and I take the rest.

Do you buy the beauty products and fashion items featured on your blog?

Having been a beauty editor for nine years, I’ve developed close relationships with all of the brands, built on years of trust. I’m regularly sent new products to review, and am often asked for my feedback and opinion. I only ever feature products that I love and believe my readers will enjoy using.

What’s your favourite fragrance?

I have a few, but would have to say Hermes Kelly Calèche is my signature scent – I’ve been wearing it for years and love how it’s unique combination of floral and leather notes smell on my skin. I also adore Angel by Thierry Mugler, Love, Chloe by Chloe, 1932 by Chanel and Happy by Clinique.

Which items of make-up could you not live without?

A lightweight foundation to even out my skin tone, a cream blusher for a natural looking flush of colour and red lipstick – for when I want to make a statement with my make-up.

What’s the one beauty product you couldn’t live without?

Sunscreen.

Who are your favourite South African Designers?

I admire the elegant lines and beautifully constructed clothing produced by the dynamic duo, KLUK CGDT. I have a serious addiction to Missibaba handbags and think their use of interesting colour combinations; eye for unique design’s and superb quality is something to celebrate. I love beautiful jewelry and Kirsten Goss’ pieces always make my heart beat a little faster.

What dress size are you?

My weight tends to fluctuate between a size 34 and 36.
