Cosmos scatter cushion R350
For those of you who don’t know the brand, Love Milo is a proudly South African, Cape Town based homeware and décor store. I love that this brand works with a wide range of talented local crafters to produce bespoke and contemporary items that add a pretty edge to your home. All their designs are inspired by harmony between line and form in nature, and are created using photographs taken of natural elements found in and around our beautiful country. A strong emphasis is placed on sustainability, so all the brands wooden products are made using alien trees that were harmful to the environment. The inks used are eco friendly too.

Love Milo’s latest collection is called ‘Cosmos’ and takes inspiration from the night sky. Nicki Ellis – founder and senior designer – says the organized chaos of the star constellations were very inspiring. She chose to accentuate the specks and shapes of the stars and try reflect their almost bubble-like appearance. I love how fresh, eye-catching and utterly contemporary the results are.
“This range plays with spirited composition, aimed at adding something completely exclusive and eye catching to a table and home. The beautiful, haphazard scatter of dots create an ethereal look that fits so well with the rest of our designs.” – Nicki Ellis, Founder and Senior Designer at Love Milo
