One of my all-time favourite iconic beauty products that can be used on face, body and hair have just released a new variant and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!
The new Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale Multi Purpose Dry Oil hits the shelves on 1 September 2019. The stunning formula is still the same but has an exquisite new fragrance, a pretty petal pink bottle & an on-trend rose gold cap.
The History
This skincare icon is a true love product and one that every French woman uses & celebrates. It was created in 1991 by Aliza Jabés, the CEO & founder of NUXE. As a busy young mum, Aliza wanted to create a natural, multi-use and multi-purpose dry oil that could be used on face, body and hair.
The Formula
The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale features the same natural composition as the classic version. 96.9% of its ingredients are of natural origin and the formula combines seven precious botanical oils: Tsubaki (moisturising), Argan (repairing), Macadamia (nourishing), Borage (smoothing), Camellia (moisturising), hazelnut (protecting) and Sweet Almond (softening). The unique dry oil texture is identical to the original, leaving the skin feeling silky soft with a non-oily finish.
Over and above, the Huile Prodigieuse has an anti-pollution shield and just one drop of the oil protects against 90% of free radicals. The formula also helps reduce the colour of stretch marks by 30%
The Scent
I love the scent of the original Huile Prodigieuse, so I wondered how it would be at all possible to create another even remotely as good. Well, I’m pleased to report that I adore the Florale scent just as much! It’s a fresh and luminous bouquet that truly celebrates femininity.
The fragrance was created by nose Irène Farmachidi and includes joyful notes of blossoming magnolia, enveloping white musks and zesty citrus top notes of grapefruit, lemon, orange and Calabrian Bergamot. It still features the orange blossom note that is a signature of the original Huile Prodigieuse, but with a freshness that’s enhanced by the addition of petitgrain.
My Top Tips for using the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale
For a nourishing treat, mix a few drops of the oil with any Nuxe facial moisturiser.
Mix a drop or two with your foundation to give your skin a dewey glow
Apply a few drops on the mid lengths & ends of your hair to tame frizz & give the hair shine
You can also do an intense conditioning treatment one or twice a week by massaging some product onto the scalp & hair, covering with a towel for 10 minutes, then shampooing out.
Cost
The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Floral retails for R495 for a 100ml spray bottle and is available to purchase from 1 September 2019 at selected Woolworths, Edgars & Truworths beauty outlets.
