I’m so excited for the 2016 Olympics that kicks off tomorrow, (well actually on Saturday, if you factor in the time difference). To celebrate, Cotton On sent my daughter, Miyo, a few items from their ‘Free by Cotton On’ tween activewear collection. This press drop couldn’t have come at a better time, as Miyo has been checking out the collection every time we’re in the store, looking at me with a “please buy this for me mom” longing in her eyes.

The day the press pack arrived, she opened it, put the clothing on and wore it to her tennis lesson – she was that excited. Miyo also told me all the items are super comfortable to wear, and even though the jacket is lightweight, she said it kept her warm, without constricting her movement during tennis.

- Rio’s taxi drivers have been given a chance to sign up for free online English lessons provided by the Rio 2016 organizing committee.

- There are two new events at the 2016 Olympics: Golf and rugby sevens.
- Organizers will prepare around 60 000 meals a day to feed the athletes.
