When it comes to my hair, I’m pretty low maintenance. I like to wash, condition and go. I’m lucky in that I have thick, slightly wavy hair that’s generally very easy to handle. The four products above have been part of my haircare routine for a few months now, and I’m loving using every single one.
Inoar Extreme Premium Oil R545
This has to be my favourite hair oil ever. It’s a lightweight, non-greasy, silicone infused hair oil that effectively treats split ends, while giving the hair dazzling shine. It’s also brilliant at calming frizz while intensely nourishing dry, damaged hair. It contains extracts of Myrrh, Argan, macadamia and rose imperial oils. It can be used on all hair types but I think those with dry, rebellious hair will find it most beneficial. I apply mine onto damp hair, but it can also be used on dry hair. The smell of this product is BEYOND AMAZING!
Kérastase Nectar Thermique Polishing nourishing milk R340
I’m so bad when it comes to remembering to apply a heat protection product prior to blow-drying or flat-ironing my hair. I know how detrimental this is, so I’ve been making a concerted effort of late to use one. Thank goodness for Kérastase Nectar Thermique Polishing nourishing milk. I really like the non sticky texture of this cream and apply mine onto damp hair, brush through and blow dry. It’s great at taming frizz, smoothing hair and reducing breakage.
The formula contains the following ingredients:
- Linseed oil – smoothes hair and boosts shine.
- Iris Royal – nourishes while infusing hair with micro-nutrients.
- Xylose – Protects the hair from heat.
Sensai Intensive Hair Mask R825
Yes, I know…R825 for a hair mask is a LOT! But, this beauty has lasted me almost 5 months (and I sure my daughter’s been using it too!). Even though it’s for severely damaged hair, it works so well on my normal, shoulder-length, colour treated wavy hair.
I wash my locks every second or third day (I’m a bit lazy) and prefer to use a mask, as oppose to a conditioner because I think it’s more beneficial for my hair. I apply a R5 coin size amount to damp hair; leave it on for about 2-3 minutes, comb through, and then rinse. It always leaves my hair soft, shiny and manageable. I love the smell, texture and packaging and, if I had the cash, would happily pay the price for this hair hero.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Million Gloss Shampoo R52.95
If you want glossy, shiny hair, then this range by Schwarzkopf is for you. The formula uses ‘lamination technology’ in the form of a concentrated Gloss Elixir that covers hair in a lightweight glossy net for days. It also prevents hair damage caused by regular washing. I think this shampoo is brilliant value for money, and a great choice for women with straight or wavy hair, looking to boost their hairs shine and vitality.
