It’s been two months since my last outfit post. So, when I got a gap on my Destiny shoot yesterday, I asked photographer Johan Wilke to snap a quick picture of me wearing what has arguably become my favourite looks. Both the dress and coat are by Desray and are in stores now. I love the great quality of materials that the label use and the fact that the fit of all Desray clothing is just superb.
The pattern on this dress has a very ‘Isabel Marant’ feel (to me, anyway) and really speaks to my inner French girl. I saw it months ago on Desray’s summer sample rail and have been waiting patiently to buy one. The coat (R1200) is just incredible too. It’s also reversible (see pic below with shoe) so, in effect, you’re getting two jackets for the price of one. The aztec pattern and tapestry-like fabric really give it a fashionable, eye-catching edge.
Then there’s the shoes…I bought these baby’s yesterday at Woolworths for R699. I adore the contrast of stone and black and the white sole that gives them a very fashion forward feel . Also, because of the block heel, they are super comfy. I’ll be wearing them A LOT this summer.
Oh, if you’re wondering about the artwork on my hand, it’s not a tattoo, but rather a mehndi I had done last week Friday at a Body Shop launch. The colour is fading but I think it looks so damn cool.
