If you read my blog with some regularity, you’ll know that I adore the French pharmacy brands (Bioderma, Avene, Vichy, Elancyl, Nuxe). I gravitate towards them because they contain top quality ingredients, are really affordable, and most actually live up to their claims.
I was super excited to learn that the world-renowned French dermatological brand – SVR – is now available locally at Clicks.The range was developed in 1962 by pharmacist couple Simone and Robert Véret (SVR) who were on a mission to produce the best efficacy and tolerance of any skincare range.
SVR Dermatological Skincare prides itself on the fact that the entire range has been tested on sensitive skins, with all the products containing real active ingredients in high concentrations. All SVR products contain 0% allergens or parabens and are 100% tested for sensitive skins. The range is so well tolerated, it’s currently prescribed by dermatologists in over 50 countries.
There are 11 ranges available, namely:

Today I’ll be reviewing a few products from the SVR LIFTAINE range that works to combat the signs of ageing like wrinkles, sagging, dryness and lack of radiance.
The range combines two of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients in their highest concentrations:
- Resveratrol – A powerful antioxidant that mops up free radicals, while activating ‘sirtuins’ (our cellular longevity proteins)
- Two Hyaluronic Acids – one a high molecular weight that immediately has a micro filling effect. The other contains a low molecular weight for a regenerating anti-aging effect.
First up is the LIFTIANE Serum (R595) which has 1% pure Resveratrol. It has a super lightweight consistency that takes just seconds to absorb, leaving the skin with a slightly illuminated ‘glowing’ quality. This serum works to smooth wrinkles while intensely re-densifying and refining the skin’s texture. Apply morning and or evening onto clean skin before your moisturiser.
The LIFTIANE Yeux + Levres (R415) is an anti ageing lip and eye contour corrector which helps reduce wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness. Again, it contains Resveratrol and hyaluronic acids to plump and protect, but a special draining peptide has also been added to assist with the elimination of puffiness and dark circles. You can apply it morning and evening to the lip and eye contours. I’ve only been using mine for about a week, but the product claims that within a month, you’ll be able to see an improvement in wrinkles around the eyes.
LIFTIANE Crème (R510) can be used both day and evening to hydrate, fill wrinkles and tighten slackening skin on both the face and neck. The cream has a lightweight non-greasy texture and leaves the skin with a slight matte effect – making it ideal for normal, combination and oily skins, concerned with ageing. There is also a LIFTAINE Crème Riche (R480) that is more suitable for dry skin types.
