I’m hugely excited about the new Revlon Youth FX range of anti-ageing products that dramatically transform the look of lines and wrinkles. Developed with filling and blurring technology, all four products in the range contain a unique combination of soft focus powders that scatter light, blurring imperfections, while micro-spheres fill in wrinkles, making them less visible. Each product works in unison with the others, to ensure you look your very youthful best.

Being 43 years old, I fall smack bang into the target market for this range, so could not wait to try the products out.

Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Primer For Forehead R199

I’ll admit, I was a little apprehensive about this product and whether it would actually work. But it did, and I’m proper impressed. I have a very slight brow line that is becoming more prominent with age. While I don’t think it’s severe enough to warrant a Botox blitzing (just yet), when I’m wearing my fringe off my face, it still a little bothersome. This primer did blur said forehead line, and I was impressed by how I was able to successfully apply the foundation over it without any product flaking off or leaving a white residue.

This liquid primer should be used on horizontal forehead lines and wrinkles, using the precision brush to allow the formula to reach into crevices for targeted blurring and filling. The product has a liquid-like consistency and dries relatively quickly.

Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Primer for Face/Neck R199

I’m not mad about primers in general, but this one piqued my interest because recently I’ve noticed two lines on my neck (ageing, it ain’t’ for sissies). While I would not describe them as deep and all that visible, they’re there – and I’d prefer if they weren’t!

I like that this primer is not loaded with silicone, has a definite filling and blurring effect, and does not pill (my worst!). It also beautifully filled in any enlarged pores (another issues that comes with ageing!) A word of caution; a LOT of product comes out with just one click (enough for both my neck lines and face!) so bear this in mind when you first use this primer. I do think younger women (20’s and early 30’s) may find this formula a bit heavy, but then again, it’s not aimed at a young target market.

The product comes in airtight packaging and has a smooth-touch applicator in a teardrop shape that targets both deep and fine lines and wrinkles, while allowing for easy blending.

Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Concealer R199

This is a firm favourite and one of the first products I tried from the range. It works to fill in and blur fine lines with micro-fillers and optical diffusers, while erasing the appearance of dark circles with colour correcting pigments.

I really like the click pen packaging, and the soft cushion applicator that’s super soft and gentle on the eye area. However, you still need to use your fingers to pat and blend out the formula. I really like the light, creamy and hydrating formula of this concealer that blends easily. It does a great job of covering my dark circles and filling in fine lines, while ensuring my eyes look bright the whole day. There are 6 shades available and I use the 03 Light Medium.

Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Foundation SPF20 R349

The first thing that struck me about this foundation was it’s lovely texture that’s lightweight and hydrating, while still providing high coverage. I have a few broken capillaries on my cheeks, and this covered them in an instant. It also concealed any pigmentation and uneven skin tone, while smoothing fine lines and brightening my skins appearance. I was most impressed at how well it wore throughout the day, without looking cakey or settling into fine lines. The colour also stayed true and the formula didn’t slip off my face. The formula also has an SPF 20, ensuring it protects the skin from harmful UV rays. Twelve shades are available and I used the colour 220 Natural beige.
