I love gardening – I find it so relaxing and enjoy losing myself in this pastime whenever I have a moment to spare. The only thing with gardening is that it tends to be really hard on the hands and nails. My favourite way to treat my hands after a ‘session in the soil’ is with the Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Age defying Hand Remedy (R350).
This intensive formula helps to reduce the visible signs of ageing, leaving hands soft and smooth. It contains a blend of antioxidant-rich vitamins C & E and is blended with conditioning Shea butter and soothing lavender oil. A blend of peptides and naturally derived extracts help even skin tone, plump and firm skin, all while improving overall suppleness.
This hand cream has a very green and juicy smell and is scented with fresh green clover, lavender, sage, rosemary and thyme. I love how quickly the lightweight formula absorbs into my skin, leaving my hands feeling nourished, without being oily. Yes, R350 is expensive for a hand cream, but it lasts for AGES and you really only need a small amount of product at a time.
My only issue with this hand treatment, is its somewhat cumbersome metal packaging that makes it not so handbag friendly (it does make a good weapon though, one knock on the head with the sharp side of this metal tube, and you’ll be man-down!).
Also, I’m trying to locate it on the local website, but am having no luck. I’m hoping it hasn’t been discontinued here in SA… I’ll be sure to report back later today.
