Sometimes I think the Kardashian/Jenner girls were sprinkled with fairy dust the day they were born. They just keep going from success to success. I have to confess, I do love the family and find their antics hilarious. I’ve been watching their reality show (and all its off spins) for years.
While Kim has always been a favourite, the younger Kendall Jenner is really making her mark in the fashion (and beauty) industry. Kendall really has all the attributes of a model – tall, lean and beautiful. These past few weeks there have been many stories on social media about why Kendall didn’t make it into the ranks of Victoria’s Secret Angels (she was up for it). But now, things are starting to fall into place…
She couldn’t sign to Victoria’s Secret just yet as she’s just signed with… Estee Lauder! Talk about a #mediasensation
She will be appearing in the brands print and TV ad’s – as well as through tailored content on both her social media platforms as well as Estee Lauder’s.
Kendall acts as a hybrid of the worlds of style and high fashion, entertainment and social media. She provides her followers with a constant visual flow of fashion and lifestyle, which is why Estee Lauder has taken to being a part of the elevation of the social character of this “ultimate instagirl”
Kendall is thrilled to be a part of the Estee Lauder family and has said her relationship with the brand is “like a dream”. Her standing of the “number one” model on social media is evident through the plus/minus 30 million followers she has on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Kendall’s made her modeling debut during fashion week in February when she walked in Marc Jacobs’s fall/winter show this year, which was followed by professional relationships with Chanel, Givenchy, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi in a range of shoots.
This year has been a busy one for Kendall – she was spotted on the red carpets of international fashion events such as the Met Gala, Cannes Film Festival and the MTV Video Music Awards. She also featured in a 13-page spread, shot by Patrick Demarchelier, in the December issue of American Vogue.
So, Estee Lauder’s reputation for innovation, sophistication, glamour and superior quality will only thrive with Kendall onboard, particularly through her representation of the new generation and young women.
Here’s a clip where Kendall speaks about her Estee Lauder signing.
