Nuxe 1

This is not the first time I’m blogging about the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil (R330 for a 100ml spray) nor will it be the last. This is one product I absolutely hate being without, as it’s the perfect multi-tasking beauty for when I travel – and I travel A LOT. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, it was one of the first dry oils to ever launch.

You can read my previous review that touches on the oil’s history here.

To recap, the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse can be used on face, body and hair. It’s been developed using a unique cocktail of borage, St Johnswort, sweet almond, camellia, hazelnut, macadamia plant oils and Vitamin E. It also has the most beautiful, comforting scent – I’d liken it to a bunch of fragrant white flowers.

For this post, I thought I’d concentrate on the oil’s many uses.

BODY

I always apply my oil as I get out the shower, when my skin is still damp. I find it absorbs quicker and really leaves my skin nourished.

For legs that glow, massage a little oil onto your legs using sweeping upwards movements. This will leave the glistening look of wearing silk stockings and the sheen will blur any imperfections.

Reduce the visibility of stretch marks by massaging this oil over affected areas.

HAIR

Spray a little oil directly onto your hair (from about 20cm) and massage into the scalp. Wrap hair in a warm towel and allow the oil to sink in for 15-20 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual. Doing this will eliminate any dry scalp and leave your locks looking shiny and healthy.

Spritz a little oil directly onto a natural bristle brush and brush through hair to smooth fly aways and frizz. Doing this also leaves hair beautifully scented.

FACE

Spritz a little oil onto your palms and mix with your usual face cream (do this day or evening). Using both hands, apply to your face working from the center outwards. This leaves your skin beautifully hydrated and supple with a gorgeous glow.

For a smoother foundation application, add a drop of the oil to your foundation. Mix and sweep over the face to give your foundation a ‘photo-smooth’ look.

Nuxe is available at Truworths stores nationwide.
