It’s been a month since I started using the new Oral-B Pro Expert toothpaste and I have to say, I’m well impressed. Initially I wasn’t sure that I really liked the mild, minty flavour of this toothpaste, but, after I absentmindedly used another brand one morning (my hubby prefers brand X), I realized just how strong and pungent most other toothpaste flavours are. I have to admit that I’ve actually grown quite accustomed to the mild flavour and now like it, a lot.
After using Oral-B Pro Expert for three weeks, I noticed the following:
- My teeth definitely look brighter and whiter. While I didn’t notice this immediately, I can honestly say that three weeks down the line, they are at least one shade whiter. And I’ve been drinking a lot of red wine this past month – just saying.
- My teeth are a LOT less sensitive to cold drinks. I noticed this one evening, about a week into the trial, when taking a mouthful of water and swirling it around in my mouth with ease. Normally when I do this, my teeth ache. This was when I knew for certain that Pro-Expert was actually working.
- I floss every day, sometimes even twice a day. Usually, there is a little blood when I floss my back teeth (I know it’s perfectly normal). Since using Pro Expert, there has been no sign of blood, which makes me believe my gums are becoming stronger.
So, what’s the secret ingredient that’s yielding such great results?

My hubby snapped this pic of me in a fit of giggles two days ago. Even though it’s a HIDEOUS photo, the first thing I said when I saw it was, “gosh, look how white my teeth are!”
All in all I’m super impressed with Oral-B Pro Expert. At R36 it’s not cheap, but then again, I usually expect to pay a little more for quality. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
