I recently had the pleasure of spending a day in Rooiels — my favourite picturesque coastal town tucked away in the Western Cape — to film behind-the-scenes content for the Miladys Winter ’25 campaign.
Think crisp ocean air, breathtaking views, and a whole lot of winter fashion magic. The shoot location was a dream, but so were the clothes.
I got an exclusive sneak peek at some of the upcoming pieces and even styled up a few of my faves. My top pick?
This beautifully soft knitted dress in a warm taupe tone, layered under a classic navy trench and paired with the coziest brown ankle boots. Truly a blend of comfort and polish that I’ll definitely be recreating all season long.

I also got to chat with the models on set — interviews that quickly turned into laugh-out-loud moments.

Between takes, we shared stories, jokes, and just soaked up the good vibes.
What a treat meeting Denni Parkinson in person.
Let me just say: the snack table was NEXT LEVEL! Constantly replenished and filled with all the good stuff – it was a small but much-loved hero of the day!
Another standout outfit for me was a winter white knitted set – trousers and a matching top – that felt like a hug on the skin. Soft, elegant, and effortlessly stylish, it’s exactly what I’d want to wear for a long-haul flight (or a cozy day at home).

Beauty-wise, the makeup direction leaned fresh and glowing.
MAC Studio Fix was the preferred foundation of the day (by the makeup artists – me: I’m a Revlon gal)
Brows were brushed, soft taupes swept over eye lids, and a touch of berry or red was rocked on lips — perfectly complementing the cozy-chic outfits we shot.
I know! I also wish my makeup arsenal contained all the above.
There was also a quiet star hanging on the clothing rail: a bold red winter coat. With its rich color and tailored cut, it’s the kind of piece that turns heads and lifts moods — a perfect pop for a neutral-heavy winter wardrobe. From fashion to fun, the day was a beautiful mix of creativity, connection, and coastal calm. I can’t wait for you to see more from the Miladys Winter ’25 collection — it’s going to be a good one.
