If you’d told me two years ago I’d be a Nespresso convert, I might’ve laughed. But here I am, proudly owning an Essenza Mini, which has truly been one of my best investments.

So, when Nespresso invited me to attend one of their exclusive masterclasses, I jumped at the chance to learn more about their world of coffee.

We kicked off the experience with a demo featuring the stunning Nespresso x Pantone Virtuo Pop, a limited-edition machine priced at R3,999 (SHOP). Inspired by the Mediterranean Riviera, the vibrant mandarin orange color immediately caught my eye.

The Virtuo offers six different coffee sizes (ranging from 25ml to 355ml) and heats up in just 30 seconds, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

You can also find a selection of limited-edition coffee flavors and accessories in the same gorgeous hue.

Speaking of flavors, I was lucky enough to sample a few unique blends from the Mediterranean Summer Virtuo collection. The standout for me? The Tropical Coconut Flavour Over Ice -R179 for 10 pods (SHOP). With its refreshing coconut notes that perfectly complement the roasted, caramel-like flavors of Latin American and African Arabicas, this blend is an absolute summer must-have. Add a few ice cubes, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate iced coffee.

Nespresso’s range of milk frothers also left a lasting impression. The Barista Milk Frother, R4,999 (SHOP) is my personal favorite, offering the ability to craft over 20 different coffee recipes—from iced coffees to lattes and macchiatos. It’s dishwasher safe and features a sleek touch screen for easy use.

For those on a tighter budget, the Aeroccino 4 Milk Frother, R1,799 (SHOP) is an excellent alternative. It creates two types of foam—hot and cold—and is just as easy to use with its one-button design. Plus, it’s also dishwasher-friendly.

Whether you’re a seasoned coffee lover or just starting your Nespresso journey, there’s something for every budget and taste. Big thanks to Nespresso for the invitation and the amazing spoils!
