Oh, the joy knowing that the iconic brand NARS Cosmetics is finally available on our shores. NARS is a French cosmetic and skin care company which was founded in 1994 by make-up artist and photographer François Nars.
NARS cosmetics are renowned for their high intensity pigments, delivering vibrant and bold colours in their products. Ever since the debuted in 1999, the NARS blush in the iconic shade Orgasm has been a cult favourite. It was the first product I ever used from the brand I still maintain it’s one of the best powder blush formulas. Orgasm is often referred to as the most universal blush in existence and can be found in EVERY SINGLE make-up artist kit.
I was lucky enough to revive some gorgeous products from the brand to play with and I wanted to show you how easy it is to create two looks with a few products.
The first look is a very natural, barely-there look great for daytime or when you want a minimal but still polished makeup look.

NARS Afterglow Liquid Blush in Brazen R760 (BUY)
This is one of the most user-friend liquid blush formulas I’ve tried. It glides onto the skin effortlessly and gives a lovely radiant, peachy tone to the skin. The formula is buildable and it’s best to warm a little product into the palm of the hand, then apply with fingertips. I used this on my eyes, and it could also be used on lips to create a lovely, barely-there stain.
The formula has skincare benefits too and is enhanced with Monoi and Tamanu oils, known for their moisture boosting properties.
NARS Climax Extreme Mascara R615 (BUY)
Talk about INSTANT unprecedented volume! This formula takes lashes from zero to hero instantly in just one coat. The Loaded Pigment Complex and XXXL ribbed-style brush instantly creates explosive volume with latex-like black pigment from root to tip. Talk about maximum volume with minimal effort.
NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm R625 (BUY)
I keep reaching for gorgeous balm that is pH activated so the colour looks different on everyone. It imparts enough shine to make the lips look healthy, but not so much that it looks like a gloss. It hydrates the pout beautifully thanks a Monoï hydrating Complex while protecting them with an antioxidant. If you can only afford one NARS product, make it this lippie, you won’t be disappointed.
NARS Powermatte High Intensity Lipstick in Highway to Hell R645 (BUY)
I’m always a bit wary of matte formulas because they can be drying. Not this one. I LOVE its weightless texture and hoe easily it glides onto the lips. And boy-oh-boy does it last. A full 10 hours to be exact. I really love Higghway to Hell colour which I would describe as a sultry deep berry shade.
