“It’s wine-o-clock somewhere in the world” is what I messaged to my two besties this past Saturday morning. “Let’s celebrate later with some exquisite summer wines I was recently sent from Van Loveren.”
With the weather being a scorching 32 degrees, we decided to chill poolside with a glass of the Van Loveren Daydream – a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir blend. This crisp, off-dry wine was a perfect choice thanks to its fresh floral flavours and soft, fruity finish.
If you’re more of a white wine fan, try the Van Loveren Chenin No. 5. A beautifully aromatic wine with a gorgeous, distinct tropical flavours and a well-rounded palate that ends in a crisp, dry finish. Enjoy it icy cold with lightly spiced dishes, chicken, smoked salmon, creamy pasta dishes, or gourmet burgers.
This hugely popular Van Loveren Sauvignon Blanc has a great tropical grassy character. It is an aromatic wine with hints of melon and figs on the palate, robust character, and an elegant, tropical lingering finish. It’s always a treat served with a charcuterie platter or barbecued chicken wings straight off the grid.

Included in this delightful press pack was a tub of an old favourite I haven’t used in years, the Oh-lief Aqueous Cream. I love this formula that contains no fragrance, petroleum jellies, paraffin or mineral oils. It’s a beautiful moisturiser that soothes dry skin and is so gentle.
I was thrilled to see an “African Storm” scented candle by Cape Island nestled in this drop. This is one of my all-time favourite scented candles that smells like fresh rain unleashed through a burst of exotic Baobab, Jasmine and White Sandalwood.
Last but certainly not least was a box of Sally Williams Almond Nougat made with roasted almond nuts. Too delish!
