Yesterday I was invited to spend the morning with Vitaderm, learning more about their product range. Not only did I get a deep dive into this brilliant, proudly South African brand’s products, I also got a chance to make my very own skincare!

Vitaderm is a South African skincare brand that’s been on the market for 20 years. The brand prides itself on developing high-performance, clinical skincare that deliver results.

The Phyto Active Range contains well priced, basic skincare products with naturally sourced plant extracts.

The Advanced Active Range contains products with active ingredients that treat all skin concerns. In this range you’ll find serums and treatment creams loaded with the best actives to fight specific skin concerns.

The Clarifying Care treats oily & acne-prone skin.

The Hydrating Care is for normal & combination skin

The Revitalising Care is best for dry or dehydrated skin.

The Nourishing Care is a great choice for mature & very dry skin.

It was incredible to take a walk around the factory & see, first-hand how the products are made and packaged.

It was such a treat to get the opportunity to make our very own cleanser & basic moisturiser. We were given a short overview of the various actives available, Salicylic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000 & Niacinamide & their benefits in skincare. We could then tailor our moisturiser & cleanser accordingly.

I opted for Hyaluronic Acid (boosts moisture), Matrixyl 3000 (great for firming the skin & boosting elasticity) & Green Tea extract (antioxidant) in my moisturiser. I also added some Chamomile because it has great anti-inflammatory benefits & soothes & calms the skin.

For my cleanser, I chose Hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid (gentle exfoliation). I added a little grapefruit extract because it works to brighten the skin & also adds a subtle fresh scent.

We were also treated to Smoothies using Vitaderm’s Superfood Powders. Three variations are available: Moringa Powder (loaded with antioxidants & great for gut health), Baobab Powder (antioxidants & vitamin C) or Collagen Powder (great for skin health). I was thrilled to find a Morning Powder in my Goody Bag.

Thanks Vitaderm for a fun & super informative morning.
