It’s a decorative design statement that will impart warmth, recharge the senses and bring calm to the soul. Boody is an Australian brand that is now available locally. The brand crafts quality, sustainable, everyday basics made using organically grown bamboo. They use state-of-the-art computer knitting machines to create seamless garments – meaning wastage is minimal. The bamboo fabric used is breathable, antibacterial, super soft and so comfortable, thermoregulating & breathable.

Hashtag Bamboo is a local brand who make sunglasses, watches and tungsten rings with stunning wooden accents. An eco-friendly brand, Hashtag Bamboo value the conservation of our resources and the planet. The brand make brilliantly stylish and affordable eyewear and I was recently sent a pair as part of a press drop.

Flip Flopping
From the iconic Veldskoen brand comes Plakkie flip flops. Started around the same time as the Veldskoen brand in 2016, it was only in 2018 that manufacturing started in earnest. Four years later and these quintessential South African summer ‘slops’ are a great way to keep feet feeling cool while looking stylish.
