If there’s one style of clothing I just can’t seem to resist, it’s dresses. I always add at least one new style at the start of a season. Today I’m showcasing 5 styles of dresses from Superbalist that I absolutely adore.

Full length Tiered Dress

Universally flattering, the tiered dress is one of the most fashion forward styles. The style is defined by a soft, unstructured silhouette with horizontal seams. I like this style because it works well in prints of in a solid colour.

I love the bold green geometric pattern and cut-out detail of this Tiered dress (R499 – BUY)

The Shirt Dress

Easy to dress up or down, the shirt dress is a key style to have on hand. Give it a workwear spin by teaming it with elegant flats and a blazer or dress it down with sneakers and an unstructured tote bag.

The coral colour of this shirt dress (R489 – BUY) coupled with its unusual, slightly edgy silhouette, drawcord waist and Mandarin collar is such a fresh take on this classic style.

The Babydoll Dress

Defined by its slouchy, voluminous shape, empire waist and puffed sleeves, slipping on a Babydoll dress will give you an instantly relaxed vibe. You could opt for a full length or mini style. These dresses work well when paired with ballet flats, Cowboy boots, crochet beanies and suede fringed bags.

I like the print and colours used in this Babydoll dress (R350 – BUY) that also features pockets!

The Retro-Inspired Printed Dress

We all need a dress with a bold retro print that’s reminiscent of a bygone era. Personally, I love the bold flower prints in shades of orange and yellow that defined the 1960’s.

The print on this dress (R449 – BUY) reminds me a bit of that iconic 60’s print.

Trapeze Dress

A Trapeze silhouette is generally narrow at the shoulders and very wide at the hem of the dress. Widely considered a ‘forgiving’ dress style for how it lays on the body.

I like this black one (R389 – BUY) because of its simple design that can be dressed up or down.

Which styles of dresses are your favourite? Let me know in the comments below – I love hearing from you.

🖤 The black dress is my favorite as it would be me choosing my colour style preference. My number 2 would be the coral coloured dress. Thanks for highlighting this. I think I’ll buy the black one on Superbalist.

All the dresses are gorgeous styles, but my fav has to be no. 1. I love the print too

My favourite too. Just bought it 🙂

Interesting that that style seems to be the favourite.
