Following on from the hugely successful La Vie Est Belle, Lancôme have just launched a new scent called La Vie Est Belle En Rose EDT , described as a luminous and floral summer scent with notes of peony and rose.
The juicy and very fruity top notes contain red berries and raspberries, tempered with pink pepper and bergamot. As the scent develops, the heart notes of peony, lily of the valley and rose become evident, yet the scents fruity personality still shines through. The base notes of sandalwood, iris, patchouli and musk give the fragrance some earthiness as the floral and fruity notes fade. The scent is pretty long-wearing and lasts for a good 5-7 hours.
The flacon is very similar to the original with its slim, marquise-profiled shape, but has a tinted diagonal streak of pink running through it. There is also a pretty, delicate tulle ribbon tied at the neck that gives the design a bit of a whimsical nature, similar to the scent itself.
This scent is VERY sweet, so I’d only recommend it to those who REALLY like sugary, fruity scents.
The fragrance is priced at R1990 for a 100ml EDT and is available at all Lancôme counters.
