CHANEL have launched so many exquisite products lately – both in the makeup & skincare category – and I’m so excited to tell you all about them!

I received some amazing makeup to play with from the new eye collection.

I used the new Les 4 Ombres 318 in Blurry Green (R980) on my eyes. There are four shades: a dusty antique gold; a satin golden green; a warm rosy bronze and a deep, dark green. I like how one is able to mix and layer these shades to create an almost “second skin smoky” look. The silky concentrated pigments gently glide over lids, creating an almost blurry effect. All the colours blend beautifully and can be played with to create various moods from more natural, to intensely dramatic.

I dusted a little of the dusty antique gold and warm rosy bronze colours onto lids and worked them into the crease to create some definition. I then applied some of the satin golden green onto the lids. I then spritzed my brush with a little water, and gently pressed the dark green onto my lids to get a more intense shade.

I used the Stylo Yeux Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Brun Agapé (R465) to line my bottom lash line with a luminous bronze colour. I REALLY love these eyeliners (I own 6!) because they’re waterproof and enhance the eyes with intensity and depth. I also like that it has a retractable tip and integrated sharpener. It applies so smoothly and really lasts for hours.

After curling my lashes with the Le Recourbe Cils de CHANEL Eyelash Curler (R590), I applied two coats of the Le Volume Rèvolution De CHANEL Extreme Volume Mascara in Jungle Green (R650). Honestly, this has to be one of my all-time favourite mascaras. It has the first ever 3D-printed mascara brush and offers unprecedented precision and immediate, extreme volume. This uniquely high-tech innovation ensures perfect, even application with every stroke – and not a clump in sight!

On my lips I have the Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Harmonie (R645). I’m not usually big on matte liquid lipsticks, but this one I love! It’s super comfortable on the lips, non-drying yet long lasting and the pigment is fantastic. This particular shade is a medium berry colour and works beautifully with my skin tone. I either apply two coats onto my lips if I want full-on stand out colour, or I apply one coat, then gently pat with my finger for a subtler, wash of colour.

The newest addition to the line is the Rouge Allure Ink Fusion (R645). The formula has a very fine texture and is also long wearing (8 hours) and waterproof. All the shades are intensely matte yet glides onto the lips beautifully. This formula doesn’t smudge and is enriched with oils to help it glide. I received the Rose Rouge colour which is a bold, brilliant pink. I absolutely love it.

A few metallic colour have been added to the Rouge Allure Ink range, and I received the Metallic Beige Colour (R645). It’s quite subtle on the lips and I can’t wait to wear it for an evening out when I’m rocking a bit of a golden, sun kissed make-up look. I just know it’s going to work so well with bronzer, golden eyeliner and black lashes.

I tried the new Ultra Le Teint Velvet foundation (R832) for the first time with this look, and just WOW! This ultra – lightweight, second skin foundation naturally smoothes and evens out the skin giving it a matte velvet finish. On the skin it feels weightless yet leaves the complexion looking flawless. The formula has soft focus powders that cover uneven skin tone while smoothing the complexion and keeping excess oil at bay. I also love the compact bottle it comes in, making it very handbag friendly.

I’ve also been testing the sumptuous Le Lift Serum (R2980) out for the past few weeks. The CHANEL Le Lift is a high-performance line of skincare. This serum combines extracts of alfalfa and black peppermint acts as an antioxidant to protect and strengthen the skin. Immediately after application, one can sense the tensing action the product has that lasts for up to 24 hours. I was interested to learn that the botanical alfalfa concentrate used in this serum shows similar results to retinol but is far gentler. In a nutshell, this serum works to lift, firm, hydrate and plump the skin. The texture of the serum is super lightweight and absorbs in seconds. Like most CHANEL skincare it has a beautiful, comforting fragrance that’s simply sublime!

I swear, there are no hand cream on the market more visually alluring than the CHANEL Le Lift La Créme Main (R2055) Hand Cream? I mean, just look at the packaging – almost reminiscent of a polished black sea pebble. This is a product you want to pull out your bag on every occasion; not only to nourish the hands, but to look at marvel at its beauty. This decadent beauty hydrates, firms, plumps and works on diminishing the look of age spots. It also strengthens nails while nourishing cuticles. It also smells like heaven. Yes, it’s a splurge, but OMG, the happiness it will bring…

You look amazing

Thank you Natalie 🙂

I really love Chanel, but spending R2055 on a hand cream is madness, Candice (although if i was a rich girl I probably would). I am very intrigued with the Ultra Le Teint Velvet foundation because I have oily skin, so may just give that a try. You look so beautiful in the pictures, by the way.

Hi Gilli, LOL for your comment. I know, it’s crazy expensive, but the formula is sublime. Can you get hand creams just as good for less, of course – for a fraction of the price. But, it’s the formula & packaging (OMG THE PACKAGING) make this one special. You will LOVE the Ultra Le Teint Velvet foundation – that I can guarantee.

Wow you look absolutely stunning !!

These look so luxurious!

These colours look great on you, Candice-Lee. So Chanel chic!
