I adore all the shades in the new Morgan Taylor The Colour of Petals collection.
It takes inspiration form seasonal flowers and features a range of plush pastels in shades of pretty pinks, toned-down nudes and pops of peach and purple.
In the image above I’m wearing the I Feel Flower-ful, a pale & creamy nude pink. Of all the shades, it’s one of my favourites. It would make a great colour for a bride or bridesmaid.
I LOVE a lilac shade on nails or toenails, especially when worn with a (fake, obvs) tan. Gardenia My Heart is the perfect soft, lilac tone and makes for a really lovely, almost neutral tone.
If you’re into a lilac shade with a little more oomph, the Merci Bouquet is for you! It coats nails in a pretty, bold lilac colour. I do think this is THE perfect spring mani shade.
If you prefer a peachy pink tone, try the Young, Wild & Free-sia. It’s very similar to my skin tone, so reads a bit like a neutral. It’s a great basic shade to have in your nail polish collection.
I’m very into pale pink toes for summer, and I love the Strike A Posie shade that reminds me Cotton Candy. Again, I think this shade works so well with a tan.
When I first saw Follow The Petals, I didn’t much like the shade as it looked very metallic in the bottle. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I painted my nails with it. I actually like its shimmer and subtle pink, almost iridescent colour. It’s a nice shade to choose when you’re looking for just a hint of colour or sparkle on the nails.
