I popped into the Desray head office last week to meet with the brand and have a peek at some of the exciting styles that are going into production for summer. While there, Desray showed me some of the key pieces for Winter 2019 and ladies, I’m smitten.

Leather trousers really are a wardrobe staple as they’re able to transition from day to evening seamlessly. The olive coloured leatherette trousers above (R1300) are a must-have for winter, and the fact that they’re high waited makes for a super comfortable fit. Wear them to the office with a crisp white shirt, black or nay blazer and heels. For a more casual look, pair the trousers with a chunky knit & flats. This style is also available in black – BUY HERE

How cool is this black leatherette cropped jacket (R1200)? It has a collarless round neck, back stitched panels, raw edged hem and a diagonal zipper. The edgy studs at the top of the zipper really give it a streetwise chic vibe. This jacket is the perfect example of an effortlessly chic & modern style that will look good with just about everything – BUY HERE

Every woman needs a pair of classic brogues in either brown, oxblood or black. I’m so excited to show you these ones (R1200) as they are made using a leather upper & inner & a slightly elevated heel. I also like the slightly tapered toe that gives these shoes a very elegant look. You could wear these with just about everything from a suit to a pretty patterned dress with stockings. This style is also available in tan – BUY HERE

When I first spotted this super soft, chocolate coloured faux fur jacket (R1800), I wasn’t convinced it was for me. That was until Desray convinced me to actually try it on. Beyond being incredibly comfortable and warm, I love the boxy cut, collarless neck and side pockets. Because the jacket is lined, it’s beautifully fluid in the way it sits & I like that it’s designed to be worn open or closed (there are two concealed fastening hooks). Since last week, I’ve worn this jacket three times already – a sure sign that for me, it’s going to become a winter wardrobe staple. While I understand that real fur is not everyone’s cup of tea (it certainly isn’t mine), I like that this one looks very real and is made using an exceptional quality faux fur. BUY HERE

While in the Desray showroom, I spotted the Boiler Suit pictured below. I immediately started gushing over it, but Desray mentioned she was unsure as to whether she should go into production with it. So, I asked her if I could borrow it, style it up and put a picture on my Instagram asking my followers if they’d wear it. Around 88% answered with a resounding YES, however there were a few who felt it was a bit too utilitarian looking. I’ve styled it for a casual day look (I went to lunch on Saturday wearing it), however, one could rock it with stiletto heels and a kick ass bag. What do you ladies think of it – would you wear it. Please let me know in the comments below so I can feed back to Desray.

Love the leather trousers & fur jacket.

Ooh, that leatherette jacket is super cool. Is it lined?

Love the Boiler suit and would totally wear it. I do think heels would elevate the look and would prefer it in black.

Thank you so much Candice-Lee for such a stunning post! It was so much fun having you at the studio. That chocolate fur is so gorgeous on you x

@Gillian Taylor it is not lined & has been to designed for an effortless look with its raw hem- and neck-line, exposed zip & brushed antique-look brassware. It’s the perfect accent piece to any outfit & because it’s so light can be layered under a gillet for a textured look. Thank you for the lovely compliment.

It’s my absolute pleasure. Thank you for consistently producing such incredible, wearable clothing of such a high standard #DesrayFanForever

Hi Robyn, I agree & have the most perfect pair of black cage heels that I’ll be rocking with the jumpsuit. It’s actually so easy to style in a multitude of ways.

Thanks for the comment, Jann. Those leather trouser have the most UNBELIEVABLE fit and the faux fur jacket is just my best.

Definite yes on the boiler suite… I would wear opened up with tank underneath, large earrings and high wedges

Hi Renette, that’s exactly how Desray (owner of Desray) said she’d wear it (with either a black or white tank)! Definitely the next way I’ll style it. Thanks for popping bye 🙂

Boiler suit is lovely but I think it takes a certain woman to pull it off and look good – I m not that woman! 🙂
