Last week I posted about a collection of beautiful lipsticks that retail for “cough” R975 PER lipstick. This week I’m telling you about a range of lipsticks I adore that retail for R149.95 per lipstick because, you know, balance!
When I received the Almay Lip Vibes press drop I did a happy dance. I mean, just look at the super cute (fully recyclable) packaging!
The Almay Lip Vibes collection is available in 24 shades. There are cream and matte finishes and what are called “Toppers” – basically a formula applied over your lipstick to give it an iridescent sheen.

These unique lipsticks all apply so smoothly and evenly, and I love that the mattes are non-sticky or drying. The Lip Vibes collection is formulated with Vitamins E & C and Shea butter ensuring lips feel smooth, silky & hydrated.
Below are some swatches of my favourite colours.
The bold pink is called ‘Eat Cake’ and comes in a creamy finish. The pale blue shade is called ‘Mix it Up’ and is a topper that can be worn alone or over your favourite Lip Vibes shade. It adds a lovely iridescent sheen to the lips. The Orange shade is called ‘Smile’ and it’s a matte finish. The pale pink on the right is called ‘Girl Boss’ and it coats the lips with a glossy, pale pink colour that’s super creamy.
My favourite neutral shade from the collection is called ‘Worry Less’ and it’s a very wearable, matte nude tone that is similar in colour to my lips.
I love a bright, bold lip and the colour ‘Smile’ is a brilliant orange that makes such a statement.
My favourite lippy from the collection has to be the Mix It Up Topper that adds a lovely iridescent sheen to the lips. Wear it alone or over your favourite Lip Vibes shade.
The Almay Lip Vibes collection is available exclusively at selected Dischem Pharmacies nationwide and each Lip Vibes lipstick retails for R149.95.
