Spring is officially here and I’m super excited to get back into my garden and plant up my herbs and veggies for the season. The only drawback to my gardening passion is the toll it takes on my hands and nails. Because of this, I ensure I treat my hands after a day in the garden with super nourishing products that hydrate & protect. One of my favourite ranges I regularly turn to for this is the Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners line.

The Gardeners line was originally created to be a highly effective hand care range that utilizes the healing power of herbs to nourish the hands. During its 21 years, most of the products have become cult classics (rightly so, because they are that good!). This year, the Gardeners range turns 21 years old!

Now, I have many favourite products in the Gardeners line – but my two top treats are the Nail & Cuticle Therapy – that has saved my cuticles many times – and the Intensive All Purpose Balm that can be used on any dry areas like lips, elbows, knees and cuticles.

To celebrate this 21-year milestone, Crabtree & Evelyn have included two new products in the range: a body wash and a body lotion. Both contain extracts of cucumber, rosemary, sage and thyme as well as botanical extracts that have been chosen thanks to their cleansing, purifying and refreshing qualities.

Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Body Wash (R450) – BUY

Whether you’ve been toiling in the garden or trekking through the city, treat your skin to a burst of garden freshness with this gentle body wash. The scent is refreshing and extracts of cucumber, rosemary and sage refresh & purify the skin. This body wash lathers really well yet is super gentle on the skin thanks to the inclusion of glycerin, shea and Vitamin E that moisturisers the skin as you cleanse. It’s light yet fragrant aroma really soothes the senses, and I just adore the pretty packaging.

Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners 60 Second Fix for Hands Mini (R350) – BUY

How hectic has modern life become? I can hardly keep up, yet alone take care of my hands! It’s with time-pressed people in mind that Crabtree created their two-step, 60 second fix designed to give hands an intensive conditioning quicker than you can say “silky soft”. This duo is available in a mini (pictured) and a large pack and makes the perfect gift.

The Crabtree & Evelyn Skin Conditioning Hand Recovery works to simultaneously exfoliate and moisturise the hands, effectively getting rid of aged skin cells while hydrating the skin. The ingredients responsible for the intense exfoliation include pumice and salt crystals, while macadamia oil hydrates. If hands are feeling super dry, use this treatment 2-3 times a week. You’ll be amazed at how soft and nourished your hands feel after using this!

The Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy is just what hard working hands need. Formulated with macadamia seed oil and shea butter, this formula helps to replenish lost moisture. It’s also rich in herbal extracts like cooling cucumber and rosemary leaf – an antioxidant – helping to protect hands against daily urban environmental stresses. I love how it leaves my hands silky soft & delicately scented.
