Elizabeth Arden has partnered with their Make a Visible Difference Community Hero – Kate Senekal of Sparrow Society – to bring you what is arguably the best GWP (Gift with Purchase) I ever did see!
Simply purchase two Elizabeth Arden products – one of them being either a moisturiser, serum or foundation – and receive a chic, handmade Sparrow Society bag with 3 full-size, must-have products including the iconic Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, Grand Entrance Mascara and a 15ml Always Red Eau de Toilette (total product value R785).
I received my very own beautifully personalized Sparrow Society Bag (below)
And was thrilled to see a full size of my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant inside, as well as another full size Grand Entrance Mascara and a 15ml Always Red EDT – perfect for fragrance touch-up’s on the go.
This is officially my favourite makeup bag – Thanks Elizabeth Arden
Three chic versions of the bag will be available at prestige retailers on the following dates (offer valid while stocks last)

From 16 Feb to 6 March get the GWP below from Truworths
From 12 April to 3 May get the GWP below from Edgars and Red Square
What makes this GWP even more special, is that it’s a proudly South African initiative.
Kate Senekal is the founder of Sparrow Society, a non-profit organisation, which connects and empowers women in the townships of Gugulethu, Masiphumelele and Philippi through their craftsmanship, design and creative skills.
With a self-sustaining business model that heroes locally designed products made with ethically sourced, fashionable materials, the organisation is allowing consumers like you and me to use our buying power to be a part of the change you wish to see in the world.
A photographer by profession, Kate was motivated to give this up and follow her passion of empowering disadvantaged communities. She was inspired by the talented women she saw in townships creating “charity trinkets” for sale, and not living up to their talent’s full potential. Kate provided a platform to share her knowledge and to guide and train women in these communities to master their skills. This empowered them to create beautiful bags, candles, jewellery and other products designed by Kate herself. Sparrow Society has grown into a proudly local brand, which is now sold through a number of South African retail outlets. Through the organisation, Kate has provided employment and a constant revenue stream for women in underprivileged communities, allowing them to not only provide for their families but to also feel empowered and respected by doing what they love. I found this video on YouTube that explains what the Sparrow Society is all about and how it came into being.
Ladies, this is such a wonderful initiative – one I fully support, so please show yours and get some AMAZING free products for your efforts.
