I must say, I’m really impressed at how TFG (the Foschini Group) are rolling their brands out online. A few weeks ago, I attended the TFGOmniSport launch to celebrate the entry of Sportscene, Duesouth and Totalsports into the online space.
The event as loads of fun. We each received a pair of Converse High Tops that we could customize. There was an artist on hand to guide us and give us a little inspiration and tables laden with colourful spray paint and shoelaces.

Now, I LOVE my white Converse (I have three other pairs) and wear them ALL THE TIME. While I liked the idea of customizing this pair, I knew that should I do so, I’d be less likely to wear them. So, brave ol’ me just added burgundy shoelaces (so boring!).
We also received a voucher to shop online and I knew exactly what I wanted. A while back while on Pinterest (my addiction), I pinned the image below to “My Style” board.
I love the chic, sporty and slightly edgy appeal of this look. What made the look? The black Nike sneakers with the white swoosh, of course! It was after seeing this image that I knew I needed a pair of these sneakers in my life.

And I’ve been planning looks around them since. Last week – along with a few other beauties – I flew to JHB for the day for a beauty event. I opted to pair my Nike babies with black skinny trousers, a white shirt, Pichulik neckpiece and camel coloured coat. I love the sports luxe vibe the look has. Another bonus was that I felt comfortable all day.
