I love Stella McCartney’s approach to fragrance. She believes that a scent should play with contrasts of masculine and feminine, fusing softness with edginess and sexiness with sensuality. That ethos is perfectly captured in the new Stella EDT.
Stella EDT is such a lovely bright and bold composition. It pays homage to the rose – an icon of strength and femininity. Stella EDT has the same notes of amber and rose as the original, but is updated with zesty lemon, mandarin, freesia and peony.
It’s opens with fresh and youthful notes of mandarin and frozen lemon, tempered with watery freesia. The heart is bold and seductive with notes of Bulgarian rose essence, violet leaves and delicate peony petals. The amber in the base has a slightly masculine undertone, which gives this scent an edgy quality. Because it’s an EDT, the longevity of the scent is about 4 hours.
I would describe it as a modern, wearable and slightly sexy fragrance that works beautifully for both day and evening.
I love the faceted bottle that is inspired by the beautiful edges of an amethyst crystal. I adore the feminine nude coloured dots on the glass bottle and gold band on the cap. This flacons beauty lies in its understated elegance – perfectly capturing the DNA of the Stella McCartney brand.
Stella EDT retails for R600 for a 30ml, R825 for a 50ml and R1090 for a 100ml
