Superbalist asked me to select five of my favourite fragrances and accessories from their site recently – to create a wishlist of sorts. A simple task – you may think – but goodness gracious me, it was super difficult! There are so many fantastic scents and must-have accessories to choose from, it was quite overwhelming. After a good few hours, I finally narrowed my choice down and selected my favourite, favourites.

It’s roomy enough for a small laptop and all your daily essentials. It has a leather look finish (Vegan readers, this one’s for you) and sturdy zip, and a pretty interior lining. I mean, what’s NOT to love?
How cute are these “Jesse Tassel” earrings (BUY HERE)? And at only R129, they are a stylish steal! Wear them with a white dress, or even a LBD to add a little Bohemian chic to your look.
I got very excited when I saw these Aviator Metallic Mirrored sunglasses R99 (BUY HERE) as I’ve been on the hunt for a pink pair that doesn’t cost the earth. I like the classic aviator style that’s been updated with wide mirrored pink lenses. #LOVE
Every woman needs a stylish timepiece, and I really like the Modern Square R4299 by Armani (BUY HERE). It has a rose gold plated stainless steel square shaped dial that features Roman numerals, and a textured leather strap. This beautiful watch is sure to up your style ante a notch or two.
I just adore this “Brass Top Pendant”, R799 by Matter Of Fakt (BUY HERE). Aside from the fact that the brand is local (and I’m all about supporting local brands), I think it would add a whimsical, bohemian touch to any outfit. It would work equally well with a crisp white shirt and black trousers, or a casual T-shirt and jeans.

Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana R1025 for a 30ml EDP (BUY HERE)
Dolce is a delicate, feminine bouquet of white flowers intertwined with the freshness of neroli leaves. It is defined by the full-bodied scent of white amaryllis, a South African flower used for the first time ever in scent. The amaryllis is perfectly blended with a unique and opulent combination of white water lily and bold white daffodil, creating a classic yet distinctly original floral fragrance. The gorgeous packaging is reminiscent of a vintage fragrance flacon. The flower stopper pays tribute to Sicilian customs, while a thin black grosgrain ribbon, presented in an elegant bow.
La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain R1899 for a 100ml EDT (BUY HERE)
Taking inspiration from the LBD, this fragrance’s simple, yet elegant notes are so typically French. With top and middle notes of black cherry, creamy almond and rose the scent initially has a burst of freshness. As it begins its drydown, the shadowy temptations of licorice and smoky black tea reveal a more seductive personality.
Agent Provocateur by Agent Provocateur R1199 for a 100ml EDP (BUY HERE)
This sexy scent remains one of my all-time favourites and is a real modern classic. Top notes include pink pepper, Davana oil, rosewood, ylang-ylang and angelica. At the heart of the fragrance are notes of Bourbon geranium, May rose, Sambac jasmine, tuberose and osmanthus. The sexy, smouldering base notes include patchouli, sandalwood, amber crystals, tonka bean, labdanum, myrrh, black incense and musk.
Flora Generous Violet by Gucci R1999 for a 100ml EDT (BUY HERE)
I love the fresh, floral notes of this very wearable scent. Top notes include violet leaf, heart notes are made up of violet and iris, while the dry-down includes sexy notes of musk, woods and suede.
Stella by Stella McCartney R1369 for a 100ml EDT (BUY HERE)
This fresh and feminine scent is inspired by the idea of a fresh, dewy rose captured in the morning sun. Obviously rose is a central to the composition, but it’s tempered with fresh mandarin and frozen lemon top notes. Heart notes include Bulgarian rose essence, violet leaves and peony petals. The base note is made up of ambergris, which gives this scent a sensual undertone.
